Emma graduated with an Honour’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Bath. She then went on to further her knowledge and career through studying a Master’s in Physiotherapy at Oxford Brookes University, graduating with a distinction.
For many years Emma dedicated herself to playing professional tennis; representing Great Britain on multiple occasions. Emma’s tennis career was hampered by injury leading to her retirement from the game and inspiring her to become a Physiotherapist. As an injured athlete, Emma worked with multiple Physiotherapists, experiencing personally the positive impact Physiotherapy can have in preventing and treating injuries. Having had a range of injuries herself, Emma is able to empathise with patients and understand the impact that injuries can have. The experiences that Emma has had throughout both her academic studies and tennis career led to her passion towards sports injuries and her drive to positively help others.
Since retiring from tennis, Emma has gained an interest in running, hiking and skiing. Emma specialises in rehabilitation of knee injuries, running-related injuries and post-operative rehabilitation.
Emma will be based in our Ashton clinic on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.
